Inner Active Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. We are a clinic that is dedicated to helping both men and women get back to doing the things they love. We specialise in pelvic health and musculoskeletal rehabilitation offering a holistic approach in our patient care. Our friendly staff remains committed to providing clients and the wider community with industry-leading physiotherapy services.
Our clinics are located within a multidisciplinary space of passionate healthcare providers that work closely together to enhance patient care. We have an amazing supportive community which continues to grow.
The Bundoora clinic is within a specialist medical building. We work closely with both a doctors and specialists (geriatricians, gastroenterologist, etc) and have a great referral base.
The Mernda clinic is located not far from the new Mernda railway station and the fast-growing town centre. It is within Bodywell Healthcare and provides a great opportunity to work and collaborate with other professionals including osteopaths.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist with a special interest in pelvic health to start in a part time role commencing January 2020 of a minimum of 1 day with the potential to extend. Locations and days are highly flexibly including evenings and Saturday mornings (Mernda location).
Caseloads includes the following:
- Pelvic floor disorders in Women
o Urinary Incontinence and Urgency
o Dyspareunia (Including Vaginismus and Vestibulodynia)
o Pelvic Organ Prolapse
o Bowel Dysfunction
- Pelvic floor disorders in Men
o Urinary Incontinence and Urgency
o Pre and post prostatectomy
o Bowel Dysfunction
o Chronic Pelvic Pain
- Prenatal and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions
o Pregnancy, preparation for labour and delivery, postpartum recovery
o Pelvic girdle pain and coccydynia
o Diastasis Recti
o Breast conditions including blocked ducts and metastasis
- Health promotion workshops
The ideal candidate:
- This would suit a person who is motivated and committed to excellent and holistic patient care and ongoing professional development.
- Holds a post graduate qualification in Pelvic Floor and Continence or equivalent
- Holds full registration with AHPRA
